The Big Billion Days 2026 opens with early access on 8 October. It’s Flipkart’s biggest week of the year, and for a lot of shoppers it’s when the year’s big purchases finally happen: the phone, the fridge, the new wardrobe.
Early access goes to Flipkart’s members first, and the sale opens to everyone after that. So for a brand on Flipkart, 8 October is the day to be ready by.
Here’s what we’d do between now and then.
Now: make the listing easy to find
Flipkart shoppers filter before they scroll: by price, brand, rating and every attribute a category has. A listing with empty attributes simply doesn’t appear in those filters, however good the product is.
- Fill in every attribute. Size, colour, material, capacity: whatever your category asks for.
- Write key features, not a wall of text. Flipkart shows key features where Amazon shows bullet points. Keep them short, specific and easy to read on a phone.
- Use every image slot. Angles, close-ups, the product in use, and one picture that shows its size.
- Add a Rich Product Description. If you’re brand-approved, an RPD (Flipkart’s version of A+ content) lets the page answer questions before anyone asks them.
This is what our cataloguing and A+ content teams do every day.
Stock: be ready for day one
- Check every variant, not just your bestseller. A shopper who can’t find their size leaves.
- If you use Fulfilled by Flipkart, get stock into Flipkart’s warehouses before the sale. Check the inbound deadline in Seller Hub and plan backwards from it.
- Plan for the peak. A product that runs out on day one loses the sale, and the momentum it had.
Prices and offers: set them early
- Set sale prices and offers in Seller Hub well before 8 October, and check they show correctly on the listing.
- Keep them honest. Shoppers compare prices across apps, and a discount on a price that went up last week gets noticed.
The week before: get the ads ready
Clicks cost more during the sale, because everyone wants the same searches.
- Start Flipkart Ads a week early, so campaigns have data to learn from before the rush.
- Be live before early access opens, not after. The first shoppers arrive on 8 October.
- Raise budgets for the sale days, and check them twice a day once the sale starts.
- Back products with good ratings and stock. Ads work hardest on listings that already convert.
We plan and run this for brands as part of our marketplace ads work.
Creative: look like the sale
The Big Billion Days has its own look across the app, and brands that match it look like they belong there. Get your sale banners and brand creative ready early, in every size Flipkart asks for. Our ad creatives team makes Big Billion Days sets, from placement banners to sale landing pages.
Don’t forget Flipkart Minutes
Flipkart Minutes, Flipkart’s quick-commerce service, now reaches more than 150 cities. Festive orders that can’t wait for tomorrow go there. If you sell on Minutes, check your stock and your tiles too. More on Flipkart Minutes.
During and after the sale
- Watch stock and ads every day, and move money from what’s running out to what’s selling.
- Answer questions and reviews quickly. In a sale, an unanswered question is often a lost order.
- Read the returns afterwards. They tell you what to fix: a size chart, a photo, one line in the key features.
- Keep going. Festive shopping carries on until Diwali, on 8 November.
Ten days is enough
Ten days is enough to fix what shoppers notice first: the attributes, the images, the stock and the ads. If you’d rather hand it over, tell us what you sell, and we’ll tell you what to fix first.
